The recruitment process included a challenge that I worked on for three intense days during my time off. After finishing the challenge as quickly as I could, I sent it by email, but it seems the message got lost. The day before the deadline, I contacted the company to make sure they had received my work. They confirmed they had, explaining that they were having issues with their email system. A few days later, I was invited to the second stage, which was an interview with two members of the design team. The interview went very well, and both interviewers were quite friendly. However, after the interview, I didn't hear back for over a month. So, I contacted the company again to check if there were any more email problems. A few hours later, I got an automatic email saying my application wasn't accepted.
I think it was very disrespectful of the company to send an automatic email as a response. Candidates deserve to receive constructive feedback. I followed all the steps completely; if something was wrong, missing, or could have been done better, I suggest they start telling candidates. The lack of proper feedback is frustrating and shows why staying in IT companies can be discouraging.
