Interview
Even quantitative researcher positions need to go through a series of something like IQ test. It's like 80 quick questions in 8 minutes, a variety of test response and trading games, numerical logic etc.
The interviews consisted of an OA, then behavioural, then technical and thena final round consisting of another technical, system design and behavioural. These last interviews all an hour each. I only got up to the first technical.
OA for Round 1, involves a lot of quick calculations and estimations. Behavioural interview, Technical interviews and final superday. Final superday involves many interviews, but I did not reach that part.

Why trading? Have you applied to any other places?
There was a hacker rank interview in the first round. The hacker rank interview took about 2 hours. I think there were about 30 questions. They were low level FPGA questions.
