      UX Designer Interview

      7 Apr 2021
      Anonymous interview candidate
      New York, NY
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Peloton Interactive (New York, NY) in Oct 2020

      Interview

Connected with recruiter for a short call. The recruiter was very clearly reading through a script. It felt so unnatural. None of the follow up questions were related to my answers. Overall, a very strange experience and I felt like a dodged a bullet.

      Question 1

Why do you want to work at Peloton? What do you want from your next position?

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Peloton Interactive in Oct 2020

      Interview

I applied through a third-party recruiter. Peloton's internal recruiter then reached out for a phone screen. After I passed that, I presented my portfolio to the head of design. I didn't pass that stage, but if I had, they would have assigned a take-home design challenge that I would have presented to their product and design team. They move quickly.

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Peloton Interactive (New York, NY) in Sept 2020

      Interview

This was, by far, one of the most exhausting and absurd interview processes I have been part of. No transparency, lack of clarity, and several hours invested transformed this experience into a dreadful one. I was requested, in total, for at least 10 interviews + a case study and a presentation in front of 8 people. All in the context of a pandemic, and while still working full-time. If this is the way they treat candidates, I cannot imagine the work environment.
