I found the interview process with Podium very professional and fluid, but also thorough and time consuming. The process took 4 weeks, first with a recruiter screening (the recruiter I spoke with was absolutely lovely, helpful, knowledgable and positive), second with a hiring manager, 3rd was a role play pitch with the same hiring manager and a Director, and 4th was an interview with with the VP and the company Director. All told it was a good experience. Each interview was spaced out exactly a week apart.
The pitch was difficult because they gave you little to no context. They told you the business name you'd be pitching to,, but did not provide the website, so you had to confirm the correct business info. They also told you you could reach out with any pre meeting correspondence/questions as you would normally do, so I took it upon myself to try and gather some info prior to the call, which they never responded to. I prepared an entire presentation which I unfortunately was not able to get through, because one of the managers was 20 minutes late joining the call and I felt rushed.
The 4th call with the VP and director was friendly, but seemed rushed as well. At this point in the interview process they both acknowledged that it was a long process and seemed to just pull up my resume and ask some questions related to some of the highlights in my last role. I would have preferred to have more time to really get into the questions I had, but just like the previous interviews our time was cut short and I felt rushed. I ended up hearing the next day that despite making it to the end of the interview process, I did not get an offer.
