I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Regeneron (Tarrytown, NY) in June 2023
Interview
Teams video call from HR - she was a relatively new employee and knew basically nothing about the position. I tried not to ask technical scientific questions but literally anything specific she failed to adequately answer and/or dodged the question. I expressed enough interest in the position that she referred me to the hiring manager. Teams video call with hiring manager - I thought my interview with the hiring manager was unusual. I'm not convinced he actually read my resume because he didn't ask me a single question about my personal scientific background or research endeavors that qualify me for the role. Within minutes of conversing he told me I was overqualified for the position because it's actually a junior role (a junior role requiring 3 years of post-doc experience? Alright). He asked me a couple technical questions which I didn't answer adequately.

Question 1
What would you do if your protein is all aggregated but you want to check if it's folded correctly?
long interview, many questions, panel interview types for the whole date with hiring manager, HR, and higher leadership. Generally, expected but very exhausted. Questions about technical and behaviorals. Technical is harder

Interview
The interviewer was very honest about her experience at the company and what she appreciated as well as what she struggled with. Most of the interview questions were about how I would handle imaginary scenarios on the job.

Interview
I went onsite for an interview and I really enjoyed my day, 1:1 interviews with at least 10 team members. Great people, however I felt the energy was off. I was very excited about the position and showed huge enthusiasm however may be it's just current market situation I felt no one in the team (including HM) really showed any excitement and explained why I should join their team and choose to build my career with that particular team versus any other company in USA. Also the compensation is average and probably below par considering the location of the company. My humble request to the management is: as much we (candidates) try to give our 100% during the interview please train the staff to show some empathy and excitement why anyone should join Regeneron. It is a two way process.

Question 1
Very basic questions, why would you like to join us. how is your working style, how do you collaborate with the team. And some questions regarding my research experience.
