I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Reynolds and Reynolds (Houston, TX) in Jan 2016
Interview
Before you even go in the door, they have you take an online personality assessment test and an online ethics assessment. And you also have to load your previous jobs into their proprietary forms, instead of having them read it from your resume. Then you go in and take an hour-long intelligence test. After that, they have you sit in a room for 15-30 minutes, waiting for an interviewer to come on to Skype and interview you.
In my case, the interviewer was good enough to have looked at my skillset before the interview. He started by bringing up the question of what salary I wanted. As a skilled software engineer with a lot of experience, I expect a good salary, and told him what I got in my last job. He told me:
"Reynolds & Reynolds only hires entry level positions, and we only promote from within the company. You could take a job at entry level, and when you get reviewed in 6 months, hope for a promotion. $40,000 is in the high end of what we like to pay our software developers."
Upon hearing that, he and I both agreed that it would be better if the interview was over. It would help a lot if they marked their jobs as entry-level-only.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
30 minutes of the intelligence exam is set in figuring out sequences, 15 minutes dealing with letters and 15 minutes dealing with pictures. An example of the letters one is: ABBCCCDD, what letter is next? The exam is multiple choice, +1 for each right answer, -1 for each wrong answer, and -1/4 for each skipped answer. I'm pretty smart, but couldn't complete all of the questions they asked in the time allotted.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Reynolds and Reynolds
Interview
Reached out by a recruiter to complete an online personality assessment. The assessment took about 30 minutes to complete and it consists of basic math and reasoning questions and personality questions.
I applied through other source. I interviewed at Reynolds and Reynolds (Houston, TX) in June 2025
Interview
Heard from a recruitment member via email upon applying. Following a response confirming I wanted to continue with the application, I was given an "IQ" assessment to finish. Upon scoring well and within the time frame we were asked to complete a skills assessment to match us to our supposed "dream placement". After completing all of these assessments, the company did not reach out for more than a week after which they finally sent a short rejection email with no feedback or information. Reviews on other platforms support this type of response, seemingly typical behavior.

I was asked to take an at home test as well as a personality test before the first remote interview. The first interview was remote, then I had an onsite interview in which they asked very basic questions.
