I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Riot Games (New York, NY) in Sept 2021
Interview
Extremely long but well organized process. 1 recruiter call, then a soft skills call (they ask about your strengths and weaknesses with communication and teamwork), then a take home technical question to submit online, if you score high enough you do a tech interview where they go over your answer in detail, once passing that it's a panel interview (it would be on campus but it was virtual due to covid) consisting of 2 more soft skill interviews and 2 more technical interviews. They seem to care more about your personality and social skills over your technical skills, but their questions are fairly difficult and they expect a lot. Overall probably the most enjoyable and well organized interview process I've ever gone through. Everyone was very passionate and easy to talk to.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Riot Games (Los Angeles, CA) in Oct 2025
Interview
The interview process begins with a screening by the Riot Games recruiter, and then a series of 2 interviews, one personality screening with the team's producer and a second technical interview with a programmer on the team. The technical interview is preceded by a programming test which was a fairly simple task, and in the technical interview we discussed various topics relevant to Riot Games products at a high level.
After the initial test and set of 2 interviews, I was invited to an additional panel of 5 interviews, with a subsequent programming assignment of higher complexity. In this second set of panel interviews, there were 2 technical interviews which were very friendly, low-stress and positive. There were also 3 personality-focused interviews, with the interviewer reading from a series of pre-prepared questions and then having me answer them.

Interview
I had a call with a recruiter going over my experience and why I want to work at Riot. Easy questions. Also went over what games I have played recently.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Riot Games in Feb 2025
Interview
Met with a recruiter that told me the process was 7 ROUNDS OF INTERVIEW EXCLUDING the phone call. A red flag to begin with, especially seeing that other people could get an interview done in 2 weeks. It took one week to get to the second round and it was a behavioral part and the interviewer acted very unprofessional and seemed like she wanted to get over with it quickly. Being very qualified for the position doesn't get you anywhere again, just a boys club.
