Initial phone screen with VP North American sales. Scheduled an on-site interview two weeks later with five employees covering upper management, operations, marketing, customer service, and quality. Had extensive background check and received job offer one week later.

It is quite standard interview process in used, there will normally involve a group of 2-3 judge during the interview follow by top management during the second interview session if the candidate passed the first interview session. Once approved by the top management, HR will satrt to prepare job offer letter for the employment.

Applied through a recruiter, then the hiring manager from Germany flew into Detroit where I flew into for a face to face interview. It was known up front during a screen interview that I didn't have automotive experience but had the RFID experience. Hiring manager had changed his mind about the requirements and had no idea about how the position was setup. Totally ignorant as a manager.
