I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at SS&C
Interview
The whole interview process consists of 3 rounds. I have passed the phone screening and the team virtual interview and was told by my recruiter that they would send me an offer letter and be ready for the last round with HR. However, I waited for 2 weeks and I received nothing. I contacted my recruiter 3 times after that and was told again and again that there were delays from upper management and she would let me know as soon as possible. And now, 3 months after the “promise” neither offer nor rejection has been made. I believe the company doesn’t actually want to hire.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at SS&C in Oct 2019
Interview
Very typical. No bull-crap type standard. (1) Phone call to set up phone interview > (2) In-person rapid fire, back to back to back interviews with a hierarchy of managers > (3) Reference check through Skill Survey (I had to get 4 Reference, 2 from previous managers, 2 other) > (4) Written offer. (1) = 6 Days; (2) = 5 Days; (3) = 10 Days; (4) = 40 (yes forty) Days. This was a very long waiting period with little to no communication. I sent 3 follow up emails to check in during the 40 day wait, with only 1 being responded to. Poor communication. However, standard in 2019
I applied through university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at SS&C (Windsor, CT)
Interview
Felt disorganized. Was scheduled to sit with two people two different times, so a total of four people but between an interview someone else came in and started asking me questions. Stated that the work they do there is "B***h" work and that they just make the rich richer. Another person in the interview stated that sometimes you can be there till 11 p.m. Was thrown off when they asked me what I just heard someone ask what was just stated to me. Stupid of me to not take notes. If you want the job take notes during the interview and review them in between interview sessions. Was not going to accept the offer if another offer was presented to myself so it didn't even bother me when they rejected me. Seems like a poisonous environment.
