      Software Engineer Interview

      27 Sept 2020
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Scopic Software in Aug 2020

      Interview

I applied just because this is a remote job and there are not much remote job opportunities in my area. But even for that I think it is just waste of time. You don’t even talk over the phone in the first stage. A recruiter reaches out to you via email and then in a scheduled time you talk in a Skype chat (no audio/video just text). The questions are similar to the ones that somebody here shared before. Job specific questions are just question version of the bullets in the job description. They gave me a case study. It was good practice for me after a few weeks later I’m rejected by just random reason. I expected to explain my approach to someone technical and has knowledge in my area. For that reason I find the hiring process as a waste of time.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We receive over 1000 applications per day, and genuinely do our best to give each applicant due time and consideration. It depends on the position you apply, but for technical openings, the first stage of our recruiting process is a live chat with our recruiter, during which we aim to gather key information about the candidates, so we can decide if they are a good fit for our company. That said, we really pay attention to everything you write to us during the chat. We hope you find an opportunity that better aligns with what you are seeking.
