I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Sigma Computing (San Francisco, CA) in Feb 2023
Interview
It was probably the less professional interview experience I have encountered during my career, their negative interview reviews on Glassdoor are well deserved. The recruiter was rude during our first call and did not ask a single question about me, my background, or anything. They just told me they wanted to put me into the pipeline for the technical phone screen. The technical phone screen was a medium question, I explained the approach and implemented it. The follow-up question was a bit more difficult but managed to implement it. The recruiter sent a rejection e-mail a couple of days after and letting me know that I am not good enough for them. At that point, just don't give feedback!

Question 1
I can not disclose the question - average difficulty - tailored to the problems they are trying to solve.
Thank you for your feedback and for taking the time to interview with us. We definitely expect our recruiters to touch upon a candidates experiences and motivations during the first call and sorry if that was not you experienced. We will reiterate with the team and ensure we do better by our candidates. Thank you again.

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Sigma Computing (New York, NY) in Sept 2025
Interview
TLDR; Horrible Talent Team with no courtesy to follow up with offer for 2 weeks even after they had no negative feedback for the interview and showed intention of hiring.
Process:
Tech Coding Screening followed with Onsite - Coding, System Design and Behavioral.
After 1 week they come back to add another round of interview for me which was Architectural Round. I assumed this to be Leveling round given their feedback so far although the recruiter said they needed more Signals.
Talent head follows up after 4 days saying all good things and that they wanna extend offer. Arranged a call with hiring manager to understand leveling and job role details.
The hiring manager had no clue on my interview feedback and only went by my resume. Tells me that compensation decides leveling and that I need to follow up with recruiter on that. But given my experience, I will be considered for very-senior position.
Talent head follows with a casual email of a follow-up call in evening 4 days after which I responds to and then goes back to being MIA.
I want to highlight the great experience this company offers to candidates who have invested so much time interviewing with them and most likely low ball the ones who will be hired too.
