I applied online. I interviewed at SkyWest Airlines
Interview
n my opinion - a very unprofessional experience. There were about 70 people at my open day - some had traveled for 4 or 5 hours. Before the presentation, the recruiter said that they were looking for people for training that starts in a month. After hearing this, about 10 people left. Really, SkyWest? You could respect others' time and specify which exact training you are recruiting for when you send out the invitation. The first stage is to speak in front of the whole group in what they call a "60-second spill," where the candidate has to share a fun fact about themselves. It's funny that the recruiters came up with this step, considering that the recruiter presenting the PowerPoint presentation was reading it instead of presenting (seriously?), and another recruiter who was leading the event was reading her script from a piece of paper – super unprofessional. I got the impression that the company is more focused on people without experience in aviation. At my open day, it seemed that not a single person with experience as a flight attendant made it to the next round. I have no idea what they're looking for. I have 10 years of experience with other airlines and speak several languages, but I didn’t make it through. Maybe it’s for the best, as the company seems rather unprofessional.
It was a virtual one on one and after this process they alerted me of my training date a week later. The process was so pretty seemless and the company is good to work for but any little mistake you make you can be out.
The interview process was quick and easy. The recruiters were nice and answered all of my questions. They explained how the benefits worked and were very knowledgeable and the company.

Interview
Most of the interview involved picking apart my previous work experience. Asked a few basic questions, they are just looking for a certain look. It’s obvious. My look did not fit the part
