The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at StreetShares (Washington, DC)
Interview
I would not recommend anyone to apply to this joke of a company.
I applied for a position and was contacted by an employee asking to set up a phone screening with him for that same week. After I gave him my availability, I didn’t hear a single word from him. I followed up with him two weeks later, and he said that they were in the process of setting up calls with candidates. Why in the world did he ask me to give him my availability for that week if he wasn’t going to even call me. If the company wasn’t interested they should’ve been more upfront and told me. Instead they just didn’t say anything.
I assume their poor communication is representative of their company as a whole. Not good at all.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at StreetShares (Reston, VA) in June 2018
Interview
An initial hour long phone screen about my skills/history and information about the company and current projects. Phone screen was conversational and not quiz-like.
Had 2 in person interviews. The first day I met with different groups of the tech team. Each team member had a variety of questions. They gave me a lot of room to explain previous work in depth. There were some architecture and algorithmic questions, but nothing extreme.
After that met with one of the founders who explained the company and mission in depth. This portion was less technical. They were interested in what I was looking for in a job and what I like to work on.

Question 1
What were you working on at your previous company?
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at StreetShares in Jan 2019
Interview
I had two phone interviews and a video interview. After that, the recruiter ignored my e-mails after the final interview. Obviously, I didn't get the job but I am not sure what happened since the recruiter never responded and he was extremely unprofessional.
