I applied in-person. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at The Y (YMCA)
Interview
Submitted my application. After two weeks with no call, followed up with the director and emailed my application, just in case. Got a call two days later to schedule an interview. Did the interview with my old camp counselor and passed with flying colors. Then I waited about a month and a half to get a call back. They started calling my references (one has to be a family member) then I got an email a few days later saying that I got the job.
I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at The Y (YMCA) (New York, NY) in Apr 2025
Interview
The interview was virtual, making it easier for me as a college student, as I was not in the same area as where the job was located. It was either on Zoom or Google Meet.

Question 1
How would you handle two campers getting into an argument?
Simple, straightforward. Looking to hire anyone eager to work. Professionalism will set you apart but expectations are already low so there is no need to go crazy. Typical part time day camp process.
I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at The Y (YMCA) (Los Angeles, CA) in June 2023
Interview
Pretty Simple. It felt more like a meeting to see how you are as a person. I believe that as long as they know that you know the best course of action when working with kids, you could be a good fit.
