I applied in-person. The process took 12 months. I interviewed at US Army (Fort Bragg, NC) in Sept 2020
Interview
The interview process for Special Forces is rather unique. Expect to be physically exhausted and uncomfortable the whole time. While I asked if they had any at home remote work, they answered by making me do push-ups and frog jumps (I thought it was a reasonable question).
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at US Army (Southern Pines, NC) in Oct 2009
Interview
For a soldier to become a Special Forces Soldier, the interview is 3 steps. 1. Submit a selection packet by volunteering for SFAS, pass your physical and get orders to attend. 2. Attend the 24 day SFAS course to be assessed on your physical, mental, and planning skills. 3. If Selected, you are asked to return for 1.5-3 years of further training.
