      I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at UnitedHealth Group (Los Angeles, CA) in Jan 2023

      Interview

      The interview process was just ok. First you have to record a live interview answering a few questions, then someone reaches out to you for an interview over MS Teams. My interview went very well. After that I made it to the third round and during that process I had to meet with three people over MS Teams. Two women and one man. They were all Caucasian. They looked like they saw a ghost when my face appeared on the camera. I am mostly African American. I met every qualification, as well as having a background with Medicare and Medi-Cal considering I currently work in the industry. Made it three rounds to be told they found someone with more experience and skills. The job requires a high school diploma or GED, I have a Bachelors in Psychology. Highly disappointed they could not determine, I didn't have what they were looking for in the first two interviews. What a procedural injustice, in my opinion. I believe potential employers should tell you what skills they were looking for. It leaves too much room for them to not select you because of who you are versus what you are capable of doing. I believe the process is a technicality and that they choose from within, or hire they family and friends. Diversity and inclusiveness; questionable.
