VMware Staff Software Engineer interview questions

This opening was for VCDR team (Datrium acquisition) Four technical rounds and it was very well orgranized. HR had given a heads-up on focus area of each round. Due to the pandemic, all rounds were done via Zoom and Codepair (Hackerrank).

Recruiter contacted me through a job Portal. After finding if I was the right fit, she said she would send out an invite for a F2F meeting. I got the invite after a week's time. Reached the location 15 mins in advance. HR who contacted me over the phone did not come to receive me in person and sent some one else who guided me to a room where I was supposed to wait. She said in case the interviewer does not turn up in 20 mins, I should give her a call. As it happened no one turned up and I called her. Interviewer showed up after that completely unprepared for the interview. He was busy checking mails on his laptop for most of the time. After every round, I had to call up the HR and inform that I was done. Only then would the next interviewer show up. 2nd round was DS/Algo and few implementation questions. It lasted close to 2 hours. Then the interviewer gave me a coding problem and said he would return in 5 mins. Even after a 20 min wait, he didn't come back. When I called up the HR, she told me that he might have left for lunch and I should do the same. Finish up my lunch and be back in the same room in 20 mins. I had to tailgate, piggyback my way to the cafeteria and back. This is the worst candidate treatment I have ever encountered. 3rd round started after lunch and went on for 30-40 mins. It was probably a manager or a staff engineer who gave me a coding problem and did not want to discuss the solution. She just wanted to see the final code. After this the HR called up again and said I could leave for the day and she would get back to me by the next evening. It's been a week and there has not been any sort of communication so far !
