I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Vector Marketing (Bloomington, IL) in July 2012
Interview
The company will contact you by phone, having gone down a list of people to call. You are not special to them, you were just someone on a list that was given to them. They will promise you a "$16 an hour" opportunity and set up an interview date for you to come in. You will be a part of a group interview session - about 8 other people could be there at the same time as you, having shown up because of a phone call most likely. There will be two Vector employees there most likely, and one will give the room a somewhat long presentation about the company (a very misleading one), and then he will take aside three people at a time into his office for group interviews. The numbers will be narrowed down until they say who they are hiring. If you are given the job (which is very easy to get, if you know the basics of an interview procedure), you are expected to show up to an unpaid 3-day training session that you might not make it through if they decide they don't want you anymore. I made it through the whole thing and watched people get picked off day by day until there were only about 5 of us that made it through training (which was unpaid). You are then expected to set up all of your own appointments and go make Vector some money. You are paid terribly. This company is not ethical at all.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
"Tell me about yourself" was probably the hardest one. They were all pretty easy - the company doesn't try very hard during this process. They get picky during training days.
It was a zoom meeting with other candidates, but we were interviewed separately, it went well very well learned about the position and also, we had a meet up at the office to practice with the product and learned even more about sales.
I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Vector Marketing in July 2025
Interview
It was a quick easy zoom call in a group interview followed by an individual phone call interview with an answer if you’re hired or not then and there. Simple easy questions as well.
I interviewed at Vector Marketing (San Marcos, TX)
Interview
There’s a zoom interview that can take up to an hour. Questions are simple like why are you looking for a job, and asking if you can schedule a 2-day training on Friday and Saturday.
