I applied online. I interviewed at Veeva Systems (Boston, MA) in Apr 2025
Interview
25-30 min recruiter screen over zoom, fairly easy. They asked me about a C I got in one of my classes which kind of caught me off guard but they liked my justification. If you pass you get an OA in Java for this backend related role. I believe frontend roles OA would be in JavaScript.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Recruiter screen was fairly standard and you can find the majority of the questions they ask on Glassdoor. Make sure you harp on Veeva's mission and how you would work here over big tech. The OA was challenging. 3 LeetCode style questions. They force you to use Java for backend roles which threw me off and the problems were medium-hard difficulty.

They’re really helpful and provided clear guidance and instructions during the process, the question aligns well with the role and the company’s job. Difficulty of the coding problem was reasonable.

Interview
The process consists of a personality test, a coding challenge, a 1 hour live coding interview, and finally a "Why Veeva" interview. The interviewer was very nice and the live coding question was fair (either in Java or Python).

Given a OOP file, complete one of its function. Very simple and straightforward. Restricted to 3 languages: Python, Java, and JS. The interviewer was nice.

Complete one of a function in a class. Complexity wise easy, just a little monotonous which brings it to a medium.
