I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Washington Immigrant Solidarity Network (Seattle, WA) in Apr 2025
Interview
Emailed my application on March 28 and received an interview request on April 10. Scheduled the 30-min phone screen for the afternoon of April 11. Was unclear if I would be speaking with the HR rep or the current language justice organizer. Ended up speaking to HR, who was late to the call and seemed generally frazzled. I ended up asking what the person's favorite parts of the job were and they responded by saying what had been challenging for them about the organization and its leadership. I also asked about next steps post-hire got the feeling that the org is quite disorganized, with no clear process for onboarding new staff. Was told I would receive info about next steps by Monday afternoon at the latest. Received a boilerplate rejection the following Wednesday.

Question 1
Tell me about yourself; when and how did you become aware of the organization; what does diversity, equity, and inclusion mean to you; what does feminism mean to you and how do you practice it in your life and work; are you comfortable in multilingual spaces; do you have a Washington State driver's license (interviewer then said "I don't know why we ask this question")
