I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Workday (Pleasanton, CA) in July 2013
Interview
Was recruited through LinkedIn, even though I knew several people working at Workday. I had a phone screen with the manager. Then two weeks later with an onsite interview. I was interviewed by 6 different people, some team members, and then the QA manager and Director. Everyone was friendly, and asked lots of questions, and told me about the position. I was impressed with how nice everyone was, and easy going! They are there to find out if you fit into the culture, which is so important to Workday!
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
I was asked about automation, when would I automate, or not choose to automate. I also had the question, if you were asked to fill a limousine with tennis balls how would you go about it?
Also another question was were you ever part of a project that didn't go so well, and how was that fixed?
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 6 months. I interviewed at Workday in Feb 2018
Interview
Interview lasted about 3 hours with a team of 4-6 people in 30 minute increments. All the people I met seemed nice and ones I would enjoy working with. They were honest about the pros/cons of the job and seemed to really like working at the company. They talked highly about the fun company culture and how much employees are cared for.

Question 1
Describe a difficult project you'd worked on and how did you handle it?
I was due to have a Skype interview with a manager in Pleasanton. The date and time were agreed, I was online on the arranged date and time and waited around for thirty minutes but the interviewer was a no show! I tried to see if the individual in question was online but there were several people with the same name and in any case none were logged in at the time! No apology or explanation from the company.
I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Workday (Pleasanton, CA) in Oct 2015
Interview
the interview passed in friendly positive way. Communicated with me clearly, asking reasonable questions, nothing extraordinary. I had first a phone interview and then couple of days after the onsite interview has been scheduled
