I applied through an employee referral. The process took 8 months. I interviewed at World Bank Group
Interview
Very slow application processing (6+ months this round) but once short-listed, process was smoother. HR + various professionals conducted panel interview. First 3 position choices I've applied to about almost 2 years ago through online portal did not return any invites for interview. Referral by employee got me in.

Question 1
Mostly behavioral questions with some technical ones like what is my process of prioritizing various data sources...didn't touch on CV much. There were a couple of questions about Econ models which I think I botched.
Panel interview, straightforward. Usually representation from the unit practice manager, Lead specialist, someone from country management unit, and HR, etc. Technical detailed questions and behavioral question both are equally critical.

Long drawn out process. First process was shortlisting and then 1 panel interview with 8 questions with 5 people and then 1 final interview. 8 questions very specific to the position and the orgainization.

Question 1
Why do you want the specialist position specifically, technical questions, behavior questions.
I applied online. I interviewed at World Bank Group
Interview
Non-transparent whatsoever. Generic questions that lead you to think they already have a candidate in mind. Technical people without HR or specific knowledge in the panel. Panel is not interested to follow up to your answers. Feedback is generic and poor.
