I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Yelp (San Francisco, CA) in Sept 2011
Interview
First an easy phone interview where they just get to know you. Then you move on to interviewing at the headquarters in SF. It was 3 one on one interviews with different people. I pretty much failed the hypothetical situations where they tested me on my sales skills. No job offer, no beer fridges. Bummer.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Yelp (Austin, TX) in May 2026
Interview
The interview process was pleasant from start to finish. It included a recruiter phone screen, a video call with the sales manager, a role play exercise, and the opportunity to implement the manager’s feedback.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
One question they asked during my interview was what specifically about the role made me feel it was a strong fit for my background and experience.
The interview process with Yelp was a very organized experience. From the first email after I put in my application, to the offer extension call, I always felt well informed and included.
It was a one time interview over video call with a pre call before. One on one with a training manager. Pretty simple not too hard at all. Lasted 30 minutes with questions and role plays.
