Me: I'd say that I'm honest and hard working. Manager: *Rolls his eyes* Me: *Paused in shock* I did say more after this, I just cant remember because I was super uncomfortable and probably still in shock.
Me: No, I was talking to someone in reception and that made me relax. Manager: Is that your brother? Me: Um no, Just someone I met in reception, he is here for a meeting for truck driving work. He was worked for the company in the past. Manager: I dont think so. *with a funny face* Me: *In my mind: Um, okay, because I just make stuff up* * I feel like his response was this way because the man in reception looked casual, as truck drivers normally are. The manager seemed snobby and did not want to associate this man with the company. The man in reception was actually really nice and knew heaps about the company, he told me more than what I knew about the company, he was a top bloke.
The conversation we had was less formal, more casual. I loved the way I got interviewed and got hired. Although it was a Temp role, however, I was so willing and happy to join just because of the team environment I wanted to be in. The multi-cultural environment, flexibility and patience my trainer is amazing.
Throughout my career both in Australia and Overseas I have always been able to demonstrate a high level of control even when placed under pressure, then gave them an example of what I did in last position to demonstrate i can work under pressure well.
