The interviewer, head of one of the departments you would be reporting to for this role, sat down with a printout of my cv and went through each job and asked a question or two around each role. Once done with that, they informed me that there had been multiple interviews already the week prior, changed the 'interview' to an 'informal chat', thanked me for coming in, told me that me going there was such good experience for me and then ushered me from the building. I was in and out in under 15 minutes and left behind an almost full glass of water. I would like to clarify this was in no uncertain terms supposed to be an interview and I have never been treated with such unprofessionalism and disrespect in this setting before. I understood going in that my lack of experience was a factor and was happy to discuss this, I figured this was a role they were willing to train a graduate on if they had decided to offer an interview at all, this was apparently not the case and instead of calling to cancel, I was subjected to this treatment instead.
