I explained that I would reassure the student that their feelings are okay. I would encourage the student to take a break and go for a walk/ get something to eat/ have a rest. I would ensure the student that we could work through this problem together and that marks or numbers do not measure personal success. I would explain that success is understanding one's own capabilities and expanding them in conjunction with positive well-being.
I’d talk to the student and try to work out what’s putting all this pressure on them whether it’s parents or their own expectations or some other influence. I’d then talk it through with them and try to comfort them
