    Who are we looking for?
    In this role, you'll play a key part in building and maintaining the data infrastructure that underpins our organisation's success. You'll bring together your strong database knowledge with software development expertise to ensure the ongoing reliability, integrity, and accessibility of our online systems.

    As well as:
    • Use your deep understanding of databases to guide our organisation in best practices for data storage, management, and retrieval.
    • Advocate for and put in place strategies to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness. You'll be instrumental in defining and upholding data quality standards.
    • Collaborate effectively within the development team to deliver seamless software releases and database changes that meet deadlines and user requirements.
    • Use your analytical skills to pinpoint issues within our data pipelines and software systems. You'll be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving these bugs efficiently.
    • Create clear and concise documentation for both data and software systems, ensuring transparency and knowledge transfer within the team.
    • Actively take part in code review processes and contribute to the team's quality assurance efforts. Your focus will be on improving the maintainability and testability of our existing systems.
    Ideally, you can bring to this role the following skills and experience:
    • 5+ years of experience leveraging your programming skills, particularly in PHP or Go, to create and maintain data-driven solutions.
    • In-depth knowledge of PostgreSQL is essential, with a strong understanding of equivalent database systems a plus.
    • You can craft complex SQL queries with ease, utilising window functions, sub-queries, and database functions to extract valuable insights from data.
    • You have a knack for optimizing queries, profiling results, and fine-tuning database performance to ensure efficient data processing.
    • You're comfortable writing and executing ETL processes using tools like Pentaho or similar platforms.
    • Your skills extend to creating clear and informative reports using tools like Jasper Reports or their equivalents.
    • You can work autonomously while also being a team player, contributing to a positive and collaborative work environment.
    Salary: $110,000 - $145,000+Super based on experience
