Technical/Functional Skills :

• Strong experiences with CA PPM Studio: custom object/attribute creation, view/link configuration
• Experiences with CA PPM Portlet development and configuration
• Experiences with workflow design
• Advanced GEL Scripting
• SQL development (Stored procedures, triggers, function, tuning, etc)
• Good understanding of the CA PPM data model
• Experiences with CA PPMs XML Open Gateway (XOG)
• Good understanding of the CA PPM security model
• Experience with integrations and interfaces
• CAPPM Professional Certification is a Plus
• Installation /upgrade of CA PPM and applying hotfixes/patches (15X) platform
• Managing CA PPM services and performing overall Health Checks

Experience required

Resource with 5 to 10 years of experience in Clarity PPM

Bachelors or Masters or equivalent

• Experienced Clarity PPM developer with experience in version 15.x (Classic and New User experience) with knowledge of OOPS and Java

• Experience in Clarity PPM Application Development activities covering full systems lifecycle (designing, coding, testing, implementing, and supporting the application software)
• Experience in integration Clarity with different applications and in handling interfaces especially financial interfaces
• Research and analyze multiple technical solution approaches and discuss their pros and cons with stakeholders to bring the best solution.
• Perform research, technical feasibility and analysis of complex business and technical requirements and translate them to technical design specifications.
• Perform development and customization activities around all Clarity PPM Modules – Demand Management, Project Management, Portfolio Management, Resource Management, Timesheet Management and Process Management using Clarity Studio Management capabilities and configurations in accordance with quality accredited standards.
• Develop complex Clarity PPM Portlets (application reports) including Grid, Graphs and multi-level drill downs and links using SQL, NSQL, Gel Scripts and system configurations.

Developed customized subpages, views and automated processes/ workflows using SQL, Gel Script and technical configurations to achieve business objectives and to streamline business processes.

• Create SQL Queries, Functions, Stored Procedures and Triggers using Clarity PPM data model and its database tables.
• Utilize XOG (XML Open Gateway) in bulk uploads, updates and in migrating technical implementations from one application environment to another.
• Perform upgrades of on-premises Clarity PPM Application to latest versions on customer’s demand (SaaS or on-premises). This included management and planning of the whole technical upgrade process and coordination with different stakeholders.
• Configuration and management of Clarity PPM server installation and related settings. For example, updating company logos, analyzing server logs, monitoring system health, clarity (niku) services monitoring, rebooting, SSL certification installation etc.
• Perform Clarity PPM administrative activities like system health check-up, reports and jobs scheduling, monitoring performance and logs, clearing cache etc.
• Integrate and coordinate solutions with other applications and platforms outside the Clarity PPM framework like MSP, Xcelsius, SAP etc.
• Proactively identify issues and limitations in existing systems and associated processes, procedures and methods and made recommendations.
• Test, identify and rectify errors and issues in Clarity PPM application and related codes and configurations within established testing protocols, guidelines, and quality standard.
• Provide technical support and resolutions to all Clarity PPM end users by debugging and troubleshooting the issues and answering queries.
• Create and maintain technical documentation at various stages of project life cycle.
• Conduct trainings/ walkthroughs to end users and team members on technical and functional aspects of Clarity PPM customized implementations.
• Work with application vendor to raise, track and resolve defects and fixes.

Roles & Responsibilities

In this role, you will assume the following responsibilities:

• Work on Clarity PPM development and integration with applications specifically financial
• Work as a member of the CA PPM development team and take care of development and enhancement activities.
• Ensure that project deliverables meet business requirements, industry best practices and standards and that the requirements are clearly understood.
• You will participate in requirements review sessions with business analysts and team members and outline the proposed IT solution.
• Document technical priorities and requirements, test plans.

• You will utilize mature programming methodologies and languages and adhere to coding standards, procedures and techniques while contributing to the technical code documentation.

• You will participate in design reviews and provide input to the design recommendations; incorporate security requirements into design; and provide input to information/data flow, understand and comply to Project Life Cycle Methodology in all planning steps.

Additionally, you will document the detailed application specifications, architecture, translate technical requirements into programmed application modules and develop/enhance software application modules.
