Job Description
Manages Visa technical and business resources required to implement new and add-on Visa products and services. Establishes project scope and identifies opportunities to improve Visa processes and procedures. Gathers and documents project requirements and provides client consultative guidance on Visa regulations, fees, features, and functionality to structure an effective implementation. Tests and troubleshoots functionality of installed systems; identifies and documents technical issues to be escalated to product and system integration teams for resolution and/or product and process improvements. Prepares and maintains detailed project plans, status reports, and issues logs. Translates complex customer business requirements into internal technical language.
All roles require digital fluency, including the ability to work with emerging technologies such as Generative AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot) to support everyday work.

Today, Cybersource offers a full-service payment management platform for eCommerce merchants, combining global payment processing, fraud management and payment security systems.
What an Implementation Specialist does at Visa:
The Implementation Specialist (IS) is responsible for providing excellent technical project support. Project support is defined by a Statement of Work (SOW), which would be pre-agreed between Cybersource CS Management and the Customer.
In this role, you are expected to:
Lead implementation and onboarding of merchants to Cybersource products and services.
Serve as the technical and operational SME for Visa’s Acceptance Solutions, uplifting knowledge across client functions and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency.
Support the client (and as appropriate the client’s client) with Cybersource technical and operational processes, throughout the sales process, onboarding, implementation and merchant testing.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide Implementation project support to Cybersource’s key customer base, including troubleshooting and resolution, through phone calls, emails and face-to-face meetings
Proactively identify and drive opportunities to improve client performance by monitoring health metrics and collaborating with specialists.
Participates and leads workshops with internal and external teams on customer requirements and align them with product capabilities and documenting agreed outcomes.
Oversee project timelines and deliverables, handle technical escalations, and provide training, resources and enablement for client teams.
Liaise with clients, representing Cybersource’s products and services from both a technical and software integration perspective.
Manage technical project communications with client’s technical team, project team, customer services team, senior executives and third party developers.
Proactively resolve business & technical problems encountered during projects.
Analyse the impact of proposed solutions holistically to support change.
Work with Sales team to identify new strategic opportunities within existing relationships, either due to white space or new product/service offerings.
Act as the Cybersource lead in customer projects, effectively and efficiently deliver SOW agreed outcomes.
Work with clients to achieve an understanding of their core business and vertical and where Cybersource can add value.

Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications
This role requires strong technical proficiency, problem-solving skills, and the ability to drive adoption of payment solutions while collaborating with internal Visa teams and managing relationships with client stakeholders.
Basic Qualifications:
3 or more years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent work experience in technical implementation within software or financial services.
Experience in the payments industry with strong customer focus. Fraud or dispute knowledge is a plus.
Demonstrated technical implementation support and Project Management experience.
Strong relationship management skills and experience and an ability to plan strategicall.
Ability to skilfully prioritize and manage concurrent projects and issues.
Familiarity with card-not-present transactions and risk mitigation practices.
Experience in working with cross-functional/cross-departmental and virtual teams, managing business and technical relationships.
Excellent stakeholder communication skills: clear trade-off and decision framing.
Self-starter with strong organization and resolution management skills with proven complex problem solving capabilities.
Competency in a technical skillset, such as Programming language, coding, webserver, Scripting, APIs, webhooks, payment gateway products.
Comfortable with travel to customer site regularly.
Preferred Qualifications:
PRINCE2, PMP or similar project management certification.
International banking knowledge, gained from merchant work experience.
Should be experienced with working in matrixed organisations.
Experience in Cybersource products and services technically.
Expert coding or technical architecture experience.
