    Job Description

    Volvo of Oakville is seeking an automotive technician to join our incredible service team!

    Core Responsibilities

    • Inspect, diagnose and repair Hamilton Volvo service customer's vehicles.
    • Consult and notify the service consultants and service manager if additional work is required, or if the repairs cannot be completed by the expected deadline.
    • Perform all service work described in work orders efficiently and accurately.
    • Isolate the systems or components that may have caused an issue.
    • Test drive vehicles for diagnosing issues and fault-tracing different problems.
    • Adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of automotive systems including fuel systems, steering/suspension, engine/drive train, emission controls, cooling/climate control, and electrical systems using hand tools and other specialized automotive repair equipment.
    • Obtain parts from the parts department and return parts as required.
    • Supervise the work of apprentice technicians as requested.

    Qualifications

    • Valid Ontario G driver's license.
    • Clear driving abstract.
    • Technicians 301S license.
    • Knowledge of automotive repair tools, software and techniques to repair luxury automotive European vehicles.
    • Must live within 45km from the dealership.
    • must have own transportation (car).
