    The role itself?
    As the Southern Regional Sales Manager, you will manage a team of territory sales managers, work with key accounts and engage with the senior leadership team. You will also spend time with the technical staff, agronomists, production/farm managers, quality control managers and business managers across the industry where you will create opportunities to strengthen their understanding of soil nutrition products.

    Your day to day activities in this role will include:

    • Ensuring that Territory Managers, dealers, customers and end users are effectively provided with appropriate information and education about the safe, effective and efficient use of company products and processes for relevant crops in the Region.

    • Addressing and resolving product and program questions and assist Territory Managers with dealer or customer issues.

    • Developing and maintaining relationships with all staff, dealers, customers and end users to facilitate the identification of customer needs and ensure satisfaction.

    • Ensuring products and services that are offered in the territory and region are appropriately targeted at grower and industry needs.

    • Develop and maintain an accurate data base of clients, key influential people and dealers while ensuring that the activities, products and prices of competitors and local market activity are accurately monitored and reported

    • Ensuring that an annual Area and Territory Sales Program is developed and implemented, with consultation with Territory Managers and approved by the National Sales Manager

    • Communicating and promoting product trial activities to growers in consultation with the Technical Manager

    • Ensuring detailed and accurate reports are submitted and that strategies and tactics are appropriately updated as approved.

    • Overseeing and providing advice, direction, guidance, training and coaching to Territory Managers to ensure, to the best of your ability, their goals are met in a timely fashion

    What kind of person will fit the role?
    The perfect person for this role would be someone with tertiary agronomy qualifications, proven people management skills and previous experience in broadacre or horticultural farming environments. A person that has an ability to lead a commercial team and establish, maintain and develop relationships with agronomists and farmers alike by providing quality information and solutions.
