A long-established Western Australian footwear business is seeking an experienced Boot Maker / Footwear Maker to support the production of handmade sheepskin boots and related products.

This is an opportunity to work with a heritage local brand known for comfort, natural materials and Australian-made craftsmanship. The role would suit someone with practical experience in footwear production, boot making, leatherwork, industrial sewing, pattern work or hands-on textile manufacturing.

About the role

You will assist with the making and finishing of handmade sheepskin boots, including cutting, sewing, assembling, quality checking and general workshop production.

The role may include:

• Cutting sheepskin, leather and textile materials
• Operating industrial sewing machines
• Assembling and finishing boots or similar footwear products
• Working from patterns, samples and production instructions
• Maintaining high standards of quality and consistency
• Assisting with small-batch production runs
• Supporting product development for related handmade goods
• Helping maintain an organised and safe workshop environment

About you

We are looking for someone practical, reliable and detail-oriented, with strong hands-on making skills.

You may have experience in:

• Boot making, shoemaking or footwear repair
• Sheepskin, leather or textile production
• Industrial sewing
• Upholstery, saddlery, garment construction or soft goods manufacturing
• Pattern cutting or small-batch production
• Handmade craft or workshop-based manufacturing

You do not need to tick every box, but you should be confident working with your hands and committed to producing quality work.

• Understanding of leather, sheepskin, wool or similar natural materials
