I have been working at Amazon full-time (Less than a year)
Pros
The culture at Amazon is very skewed towards action and learning. The learning resources are amazing, and people are given ambitious and stretch goals in areas that they may not be super familiar with. The writing culture is very good as it forces clarity and avoids BS. Although sometimes it slows things down.
Cons
Clearly, if you are given stretch and ambitious goals, you may fail. You may not like it, if you like feeling "cosy" in your role or if you do not like writing.
Tools are really bad for day-to-day work (work processing, collab tools, conferencing, internal...).
Advice to Management
spend the money on tooling.
front line managers could help newcomers ramp up a little more.

Application
I applied online. The process took a week. I interviewed at Amazon (Bellevue, WA (US)) in April 2022.
Interview
The recruiter sent prep work for the interview which took a lot of time to prepare. On the day of the interview, no one joined the scheduled Chime call. I reached out to the recruiter and was told the position had been filled. Very unprofessional and a complete lack of respect for my time.
