"Great place to be a technician..."
StarStarStarStarStar
Pros
Great opportunity for a B.S. level scientist to gain work experience and motivation to apply to graduate school.
Cons
The company has a decreased focus on research and development, picking up products much later in the pipeline, so doesn't seem to place a high value on retaining its people (especially post docs and researchers)
Advice to Management
If you spend three years training a post-doc, it would probably be a good long-term strategy to hire that person, who has intricate knowledge of the company and the project.
