I have been working at GlaxoSmithKline as a contractor (Less than a year)
1.) Company pays above average.
2.) Learning from Senior Team Members
3.) Cheap Canteen
4.) Free Parking
5.) Work From Home (if you are a regular employee)
1.) Benefits need to be revamped especially on the Consumer side of the business.
2.) Too few people to do the job. Needs to more head count for "just-in-case" situations
4.) Far from regular office locations in Makati and Fort Bonifacio
5.) MANY CONTRACTUAL workers for lower positions...
Advice to Management
Hire regular employees instead of outsourcing requirements to a third party. Contractual employees do not care or do not know what is happening to the main business which is against the values of the company. (Transparency)
Small structure means "no work" done when someone is off work for emergency reasons. Sometimes, redundancies are there for business continuity.
Review compensation and benefits structure for consumer side of the business.

I applied online. The process took a week. I interviewed at GlaxoSmithKline (Manila, Manila (Philippines)) in November 2009.
I applied online, then I received a call from an HR Representative asking me to schedule an interview. I got to the GSK office, where I was interviewed by the HR Manager. Interview lasted for only 20 minutes. After the interview, I received a text message in 3 days saying I was hired in Marketing. I confirmed the next day.
