I applied in-person. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at IBM (Vienna, VA (US)) in July 2011.
Interview
I went to a job fair, spent 20 minutes talking to an Associate Partner. We discussed the supply chain, how to deal with frustration, the market and where he thought the practice was going. aHe told me to expect an offer letter. A few months later, I got an offer letter. While I was on boarding, IBM lost the contract I was supposed to work on, so I ended up on the bench and had to find a new 'seat' within weeks or risk losing the job.
