I applied through a recruiter. The process took 6+ weeks. I interviewed at McKinsey & Company (Florham Park, NJ (US)) in November 2009.
Very well structured, explained well up front...application with grades, then two rounds of interviews as well as one in-house aptitude test.
Very little negotiation - they do so much hiring it's hard to move their numbers..did get a little relo assistance.
