    Pros

Lots of flexibility. Knowledgeable and fun colleagues. Lots of opportunities to stretch oneself and interesting technologies. Much emphasis placed on openness and collaboration which is refreshing.

    Cons

Hard for new employees with backgrounds in highly political and hierarchical environments to get to grips with at first

    Advice to Management

More communication on direction. Clear and documented goals for employees.

    Application

I applied online. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Red Hat (Munich, Bayern (Germany)) in August 2019.

    Interview

First interview with the talent acqusition team. They do CV screening. From second interview onwards competency (behavioral) based interview structure. Past experiences and approaches are questioned. Some experienced interviewers make it as a dialogue, which is a very positive experience. Some stick on their own questions such as "Why HR?" or "What is your passion?" which is not professional and scientific.

    Interview Questions

    • As they are competency based questions, it depends on the role and the identified questions. You can expect questions such as, "Tell me a time when you had to create or develop a solution to a business challenge. What was it? How did you approach it? What was the result?" As each role is different, competencies and questions would be also different.   Answer Question
