I have been working at Red Hat full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Lots of flexibility. Knowledgeable and fun colleagues. Lots of opportunities to stretch oneself and interesting technologies. Much emphasis placed on openness and collaboration which is refreshing.

    Cons

Hard for new employees with backgrounds in highly political and hierarchical environments to get to grips with at first

    Advice to Management

More communication on direction. Clear and documented goals for employees.

    Application

I applied online. The process took 5+ months. I interviewed at Red Hat (Munich, Bayern (Germany)) in September 2016.

    Interview

Initial HR screeing with the usal HR related questions. After that a phone interview with the direct manager, where it got a lot more into detail and technical. After that it took ages to get an answer how to proceed. Had a bit the impression that they are not that well organised.

    Interview Questions

    • 1. What do you know about the company?
      2. What tools have you worked with?
