I worked at Austin Fraser full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    - Great culture where your coworkers become close friends
    - Amazing teammates with diverse interests outside of work
    - Stellar training (strong L&D department) where you'll learn critical tools about quality recruitment and the search for talent in the competitive Austin tech scene
    - Management has real insight into shaping success as a recruiter and are more than happy to share keys to success with you one on one
    - My Team Lead was one of the best people I've had the pleasure to work with.
    - Absolutely incredible office in the heart of downtown Austin. Close to prospective clients and networking opportunities. Scenic views of Town Lake and real close to it as well! Great food nearby.
    - C-Suite is incredibly genuine and supportive. They are also super transparent and forthcoming about the company's vision.
    - Fantastic annual trip to London (and other destinations going forward) for Annual Sales Meeting. Such a fun bonding experience.

    Cons

The AF Management and L&D teams will ensure that you are properly trained and prepared for it, but this can be a pressure cooker environment. If you thrive having the ball in your hands as the clock is winding down; this is a great fit for you.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the excellent work in expanding US operations, planning after-hour activities, and generally being a warm and accepting environment where you can get one on one help if you need it.

Lunch clubs/incentive trips are a major part of AF culture, but they bounce both ways. It's amazing if you're on them, but brutal if you're not. Having been on both sides of it; the swings can be pretty rough.

    Marketing Executive Interview

    Difficult Interview

    Application

I applied through other source. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Austin Fraser (Reading, England (UK)) in June 2014.

    Interview

I had a two stage interview which consisted of an initial 'meet and greet', along with getting to know Peter Hart, the CEO. I was really impressed that the CEO took the time to meet me on both the first and second stage interviews, despite his busy schedule.

My second stage interview consisted of a presentation to the L&D manager, CDO and CEO to showcase my personality and my aspirations within Austin Fraser.

There was also extremely thorough questioning; team fit was clearly an extremely important factor for every employee from day one!
