I worked at Axis Communications full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Great products and technologies.
    Respected name.
Great travel opportunities and interesting field trips.
    Relaxed management (couldn't care...)
Many social / team building events (sometimes I wish there was more work to do)

    Cons

    Arrogance.
    Low pay.
Pathetic totalitarian HR out of Singapore.
No career advancement in this region (Asia pacific).
Management's primary concern seems to be hiring cheap staff in large volumes to show growth without regard for their abilities, fit or aptitude - this of course frustrates and alienates existing employees.

    Advice to Management

You have lost a lot of great staff, it is lucky that your fantastic products are sustaining you for now.

    Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Axis Communications (Mississauga, ON (Canada)).

    Interview

phone interview, 3 separate face to face interviews for approx. 2 hrs.
I felt the interviews went very well and was surprised when I wasn't selected to move on. I had the experience they needed and interviewed well but I honestly feel I wasn't chosen because of how I looked and my skin colour. This is why a lot of companies nowadays stress in their job postings that they are an equal opportunity company. Its very disappointing especially when you know you would be a great fit!
