Mission: We exist to protect and enhance the connected world.
We are part of BAE Systems which defends nations
across land, sea, air and cyber domains.
As National Apprenticeship Week comes to a close, a trio of apprentices set up a stand in our Guildford office to answer questions about what it means to be a BAE Systems apprentice. Good luck with your programs!
Last week, the HR team of our Guildford office unveiled a wide selection of delicious baked goods for sale for our Macmillan Coffee Morning. Raising money for a great cause and eating tasty treats, what a great way to start a Thursday morning.
We’ve use our intelligence-led insights for decades to help defend Governments, Nations and societies from cyber-attacks and financial crime. Our customers depend on our evolving capabilities to help them safely grown their organisations.
Our unprecedented access to threat intelligence, world-leading analysts and market-leading technology means we can help them to adapt, evolve and stay ahead of the criminals.
We solve complex data problems using our unique set of solutions, systems, experience and processes by analysing huge volumes of data. We defend our customers against cyber attacks, detect fraud, comply with laws and regulations, and conduct intelligence-led policing.

Our Graduates deliver solutions which help our customers protect and enhance assets in the connected world. When joining BAE Systems Applied Intelligence as a Graduate, you will begin your career in Engineering, Consulting or Project Management. Each of these programmes provides you with the opportunity to work on real projects with real clients.
Take the first steps in building your career by joining us as a summer intern or on an industrial placement. Both will give you an insight into our business where you will gain invaluable commercial experience from week one.
Although we have high expectations, we will ensure you are supported from colleagues across the company and if successful, we will offer you the opportunity to join us as a Graduate when you’ve finished your final year of university.
The world of apprenticeships is growing and there’s never been a more exciting time to join us as an Apprentice. You’ll have the opportunity to earn whilst you learn, all whilst working towards an industry recognised qualification. We take apprentices across Finance, Sales and Engineering and you are able to shape a career path that will set you up for success.
Why Diversity & Inclusion matters to us
Diversity and inclusion are integral to the success of BAE Systems Applied Intelligence. With discussions about flexible working available, everyone can be involved.
Together, we make the world a safer place
Women In Cyber Security
Here at Applied Intelligence, we are committed to helping our staff grow, develop and excel within the cyber security industry. We are also committed to improving the proportion of females within the wider industry. The Women in Cyber group was developed to support these goals.
WiCS also aims to create a high performing group of female cyber security experts. We have developed an environment where women can excel within their chosen area of security.
Employee Resource Groups
Applied Intelligence is proud to support and partner with a wide range of Employee Resource groups to offer the greatest benefit to our teams. Some of our most active groups include:
All In Club – dedicated to improving gender balance
enABLED – promoting a supportive and accessible work environment

Great Minds – committed to mental health support and awareness
Outlink – awareness, understanding and support of LGBTQ+ matters
Today, we are all connected, we all impact one another, and security and economic prosperity are interwoven.
Here, the data on your screen is more than numbers and patterns. It’s people – their bank accounts, their medical records, and their children. It’s where they live, their potential to spend, and how they interact with your organisation. It’s personal.
In this ecosystem, how you chose to act with your data will send shockwaves beyond your network. It will impact your nation’s security, then your financial capabilities, your competition, and your ability to grow. It will impact human beings.
At BAE Systems Applied Intelligence, we help you see the whole puzzle, not just the separate pieces.
Our intelligence-led approach to data means we connect the dots across sectors, jurisdictions and time zones, so we see patterns in data that others will miss. And we stop threats and opportunities from slipping through the gaps.

Advice to Management
Thank you for having a supportive working environment.
I applied online. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at BAE Systems Applied Intelligence (Leeds, England (UK)) in October 2016.
Good, short and concise. Very relaxed but that could have been the people in the interview. Godo balance of technical , experince and social questions. Overall very smooth. They did osme background checks at the same time as the interview. Then more indepth background checks taht did take some time. This was for a job that required SC clearance.
