I have been working at Bain & Company full-time (More than a year)
One of the best places to start your career - very strong mentoring and feedback culture, which allows for constant self-reflection and improvement. This is coupled by a rigorous training program which ensures you learn the consulting tool-kit very quickly. Finally this strong emphasis of mentorship and learning is supported by a fun and supportive culture which emphasises connectivity across and between classes.
Sometimes the hours can be long and work-life balance can be negatively impacted - I wouldn't say this is the norm and you can usually manage work-life balance on most cases.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3+ months. I interviewed at Bain & Company (Sydney) in April 2018.
5 x (45 minute to 1 hour) case interviews. All interviews had the structure (10 mins personal experience) + (30 mins case) + (remainder chat and questions for the interviewer). First round of two interviews were with managers. Final round of three interviews were with principals and partners.
