    Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Dow Jones.

    Interview

Had two rounds of interviews with hiring managers, each lasting about an hour, and an online written test which lasted around two hours. Was informed about interview results within the week. After job acceptance, there was the standard background check. Overall a smooth and fuss-free experience.

Company Updates

  • Beginning January 1, 2018, we are pleased to announce further enhancements to our global standard for paid childcare leave. Today, our current policy provides for up to 12 weeks of paid leave for primary caregivers. We will increase the standard to 20 weeks of full base pay. In addition, employees will now only need 6 months of service to qualify for paid childcare leave, instead of the 1 year of service previously required. Dow Jones, as an organization, is firmly committed to providing our employees with programs and services designed to achieve work/life balance.

  • We’ve heard from our employees regarding the need for paid leave to care for family members who are ill and we’re proud to announce we're now including up to 4 weeks of paid FMLA when you need to be away from the office to care for your sick family members, which we will call Compassionate Care Pay. Previously, employees were able to take 12 weeks of unpaid leave through the Family & Medical Leave Act (FMLA), available to employees who worked at least 1,250 hours in the last 12 months of Dow Jones service.
