    I worked at EY-Seren full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

At that time I worked with really talented people. Some remain my friends today. I did interesting projects and that gave me a brilliant portfolio that allowed me to pursue other great jobs afterwards.

    Cons

Toxic culture: loud, male, sales-y people are promoted even the n they have less knowledge and experience than other with a quieter personality... or just by being a female. Very aggressive alfa-male dominance in leadership team. They acknowledged my experience and value but would never raise my salary or give me a promotions unless I had another offer and was ready to leave. Every year I worked there I got a 10-12K salary bump... but only because I was threatening to leave.

    Advice to Management

Hire someone who can assess your culture and how to improve it. I don't think you will be able to do it on your own. And more with the EY acquisition, with such a culture clash.

    Application

I applied online. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at EY-Seren (East London (South Africa)) in October 2018.

    Interview

Very efficient, two stage process involving a first one-to-one meeting with the leader of the team. Then, you are asked to prepare a project brief, and presenting the findings to the rest of the team.
