I have been working at GameDuell full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great team. The company focuses a lot on team fit, more than any other company I have worked for in Berlin. The pace is steady, people are friendly and easy to talk to, and you have opportunities to grow your skills. They have flexible hours and home office is an option. There is always someone to talk to if you have an issue. Many employees have been there for over 10 years, which is rare in Berlin. Lastly, they offer free breakfast, German classes, exercise classes, and it doesn't have this stereotypical Berlin party attitude of getting intoxicated on cheap, free beer.

    Cons

The wages aren't the highest. The company is 15 years old and does not offer the luxurious "start-up" wages. It takes a long time to get things into production and, in some teams, there's patches of micromanagement. This is not a good gaming company for hard-core gamers. The company also had a major lay-off a few years ago and some of the original employees who are still there never quite recovered from that.

    Advice to Management

Less micromanagement, fewer managerial roles and more core employees like game designers, game producers and data scientists taking the lead on a game.

I applied online. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at GameDuell.

    Interview

I applied online and 3 weeks later a HR employee contacted me to have a phone interview. In this interview, the employee asked me normal questions; no tricky question was asked. Then, 4 weeks later they sent me a Technical test which I completed but unfortunately, they didn't offered me the job.
