Mission: We serve the world by making food people love
I have been working at General Mills (More than a year)
very friendly environment for work
not suitable for someone who is used to work in slow paced environment
I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at General Mills (Minneapolis, MN (US)) in April 2018.
The interview process consist of a short welcome and four interviews with different managers and team members that last for approximately three hours. Each manager was very informative and transparent about the needs that they currently have and the support that will be needed from the associate they elect to move forward with. They have recently transitioned to Administrative Assistant's being COE's so that the workload is shared on 3 levels: Desk, Swat and Global. I absolutely loved the experience and am excited about next steps. The recruiting staff have informed me that I should hear something within the next 2 weeks about next steps should they choose to proceed with me as a candidate for hire.
Louise Iverson is a senior program manager for the General Mills Foundation. When asked what she loves about her philanthropic role, Iverson said: “Our company’s mission to ‘Serve the World by Making Food People Love’ is at the heart of our goal of alleviating hunger and increasing food security. In my role at the General Mills Foundation, I have the incredible opportunity to collaborate with non-profit partners across the U.S. and around the world to work together towards achieving this goal. Whether it’s improving food access to eliminate food deserts or ensuring children in need get a nourishing school breakfast, these efforts inspire and motivate me daily.”
Congratulations to Salil Murthy for making FORTUNE INDIA's 2018 "40 under 40" list. He told FORTUNE: "India remains a core market for General Mills and we have some exciting plans for the market." FORTUNE says: "...Murthy’s decisions turned its India business from just a flour maker to a snacks maker, and tripled its growth rate. Murthy has also successfully diversified the portfolio of the brand, launching new products such as Pillsbury cookies and cakes."
