Co-workers are pleasant and genuinely care for the Company. Company is generous at Thanksgiving donating a. Turkey and fixings to every employee. Medical plan is great but the employee contribution has risen over the past couple of years. Factory workers have long seniority.
The Company is in flux and there is no communication to employees. The 4 day workweek and lay-offs have trickled down but sales are flat. Money invested in Mexico is creating jobs outside the US. CEO and President absent from the manufacturing floor. HR has changed over the years and isn't engaged with employees any longer. HR is not approachable. New security with locked doors create employee isolation
Advice to Management
Put your employees first. Target marketing to increase sales in RI. Money, working conditions, and perks are better in Mexico then the US. Address issues in HR so employees feel they have an advocate and sounding board.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Hope Global (Cumberland, RI (US)) in July 2017.
Very distorted and unorganized, there was no continuity in the entire process to allow for my skills to be reviewed in detail. In my honest opinion i had more knowledge than the interviewer had.
