I worked at Monash University full-time

    Pros

I was given good opportunities to expand my skills. Flexible working environment. Small project team within a larger institution

    Cons

In my role I was dealing with the typical academic hierarchy - most of my achievements (papers, grants etc) were automatically attributed to the lab head.

    Advice to Management

Academics need to be held more accountable

    Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Monash University (Melbourne).

    Interview

They had a panel interview with 3 very overrated professionals (separately). All asked the same question; obviously from a script. Had a bad feeling even though I was confident of landing the job, and eventually did. In time, that bad feeling proved to be correct. Steer clear from a guy named Vignesh. Enough said!
