Mission: Minha casa e sua casa, or in English, our home is your home, and you, your family and friends will always enjoy a warm welcome at Nando’s. Our managers are called Patrao’s which is Portuguese for “Head of the house”, and our philosophy is ...
I worked at Nando's Canada full-time
The front and back of house staff share tips equally and receive a minimum wage not a server's wage.
Management has favourites, they work you to the bone, not really a professional work environment, low standards on cleanliness.
Advice to Management
Treat all staff equally and fairly, provide more opportunities for career advancement, be more professional, maintain a clean work place.
I applied in-person. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Nando's Canada (Melbourne) in November 2011.
To get the interview, I simply handed in my CV to my local Nando's branch, on the Sunday. On Wednesday, they phoned me, and we arranged an interview for Thursday. This only lasted approximately five to ten minutes; we discussed what hours I was available for, and what the job involved. At the end, I was told to come in at the weekend - six hours (paid) training, and I could then select what days I wished to work. Weekend/weekdays. It was very easy!
