Omnicare Reviews

  • "Over worked, underpaid and no room to excel in the business. Unlike what I was told in my interview."

I worked at Omnicare full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Mostly friendly co workers. Clean environment to work in and close to home.. If u live close by.
    A good team/office environment.

    Cons

You are required to stay back at least 45 mins (sometimes up to 2 hours) every night, without pay. If you don't like it, I quote, "there is the door". There is a bit off bullying/rudeness to the cultural staff members.
You get one 45 minute break per day in a 10 hour shift.
But in order to make up for the extra unpaid hours away from your family, you can have a glass of wine on a Friday, while you are working your required, unpaid overtime and then drive home (great OHS work ethics).
According to al staff there, they go through that many admin staff and carers. They had 12 staff that had been there under 3 months and 7 of them left while I was employed. Staff members that have been there only just over a year, say that they go through so many staff.

    Advice to Management

Start looking after the worker that looks after you. Pay your workers for the hours.
You tell me that you go through a lot of staff because they can't keep up with the fast paced work.. It's not that fast paced, it's not hard, it's because you don't pay your staff fairly and you expect them to live for work..
I work to live, not work for unpaid hours away from my family and not be able to dish up dinner on the table until 8:30 every night.

Just a few questions about programming. And whether you would be detailed in following instructions and not have too many errors. Also they wanted to know how many years that you have been programming and whether you like it or not.
